Metadata at the Pacific Islands Ocean Observing System (PacIOOS)

This directory contains collection-level, or dataset-level, metadata for
datasets that PacIOOS distributes. These metadata are contained in Extensible
Markup Language (XML) files that conform to the following geospatial metadata
standard:

    * U.S. Federal Geographic Data Committee (FGDC) Content Standard for
      Digital Geospatial Metadata (CSDGM):

      http://www.fgdc.gov/metadata/csdgm/

This directory is updated on a daily basis so that its contents reflect any
recent updates or additions to our data holdings.

FILE NAMING CONVENTION:

Each XML file is named according to the following convention in all lower-case:

    [dataset identifer].xml

For example, metadata for the data set "NS01agg" is stored in the following 
file:

    NS01agg.xml

METADATA VIEWS:

For HTML and plain text views of these metadata in both ISO and FGDC formats,
you can visit a website whose location is based on each dataset's identifier:
