         <abstract>U.S. Forest Service (USFS) detailed vegetation classification map for the island of Babeldaob in the Republic of Palau. Mapped from satellite remote sensing imagery (primarily a 2.4-m WorldView-2 multispectral mosaic) and related data using a combination of computer modeling and visual interpretation. The map classifies land cover on the island into six types, representing conditions as they were in 2014: forest, mangroves, grassland/savanna, marsh, built-up areas (artificial structures, including buildings and roads), and water (both coastal and inland). Visual inspection and manual correction of the classification polygons was aided with the use of even higher-resolution 50-cm WorldView-2 pan-sharpened RGB imagery. No further accuracy assessment has been conducted.</abstract>
