1-Minute NOAA/NOS/CO-OPS Water Level Data

Under Voyager’s “tides and water level” category, we have updated the NOS shore stations so that it displays 1-minute sea level data rather than the 6-12 minute data previously displayed. Below is a comparison of the two at the Nawiliwili station off the south coast of Kauaʻi:

The 1-minute sea level data is a relatively new offering from CO-OPS that was not available when we first incorporated these data into Voyager. The higher temporal resolution provides better detail and is especially useful for estimating the effects from tsunami.
