PacIOOS Nearshore Sensors

The PacIOOS nearshore sensors provide data on a variety of water quality parameters, continuously sampling the water for measurements of temperature, conductivity, salinity, chlorophyll-a (fluorescence), and light transmission (turbidity or cloudiness). The information collected at these sites is important to many users, such as agencies, planners, mariners, other professional and recreational water users, and the general public.

time period: current; updates every 4 (typical) to 60 minutes, depending on the site.

note: Not all nearshore sensors operate in real-time. Particularly in the insular Pacific, data are collected and provided irregularly.
