Computer model simulations of atmospheric conditions for the regions surrounding Hawaiʻi, CNMI, Guam, and Samoa from Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF)-Advanced Research WRF (ARW) as well as Pacific-wide (0.25°) and globally (0.5°) from the NOAA/NCEP Global Forecast System (GFS). These provide a scientific prediction of current and future weather; as with any forecast, however, accuracy cannot be guaranteed and caution is advised.
Hawaii's climate features mild temperatures throughout the year, moderate humidity, persistence of northeasterly trade winds, significant differences in rainfall within short distances ("microclimates"), and infrequent severe storms.
